Having worked as an artist, carpenter, musician, professional model builder, master craftsman, antique restorer and building engineer, I believe I have derived the most satisfaction from repairing and restoring stringed musical instruments.

I began my adventure in instrument repair nearly thirty five years ago in North Texas mainly because I am left handed and ended up having to convert a right handed guitar to suit my own playing needs. I have repaired and restored everything from bouzoukis and bajo sextos to violins, cellos, upright basses and harps, not to mention hundreds of guitars of all shapes and sizes. For four years I handled all of the major repair work for One World Music in Austin while living in Elgin and establishing my business locally.

My goal in repairing and restoring musical instruments is to get you playing again as soon as possible. Having a guitar that cannot be played is very sad for the instrument and for the player.

I want to offer my services to the people and musicians of Elgin and surrounding areas. Elgin is just a short drive from Austin so bring your instrument to me and be playing again in no time.

Feel free to bring your instrument by the gallery during normal business hours for a free estimate. I offer individual and customized service on each job. Unlike many shops these days I do not charge a bench fee. I don't rush but I work fast and meet my deadlines.
